Trailhead Consultants contracts with a limited number of students in each class year to provide personalized service and care. Nancy and Ann work together with each student.
Students and their families are guided through the entire admissions process including:
1. Initial Assessment & Planning
- Comprehensive intake session with student and family
- Review of academic records, extracurriculars, and personal goals
- Personalized admissions timeline
2. College Research & List Development
- Interest, career, and college major inventories (if needed)
- Development of a balanced college list specific to each student
- Guidance on preparing for college visits and interviews
3. Application Strategy
- Advising on application types (Early Action, Early Decision, etc.)
- Timeline and deadline management
- Counsel on selecting recommenders, majors, and resume formatting
4. Essay Review & Editing
- Brainstorming and outlining sessions
- Thoughtful feedback and editing on personal statement and supplemental essays
- Assistance with revisions
5. Application Support
- Review and guidance with each application packet
- Knowledgeable support for using the Common App, Coalition App, Apply Texas, and individual school applications
6. Final Decision Advising
- Comparative review of admission offers
- Waitlist strategy, including Letters of Continued Interest
- Guidance and encouragement through the May 1 “Universal Decision” deadline
